It amazes me what Frank Abagnale Jr. was able to get away with at such a young age. To think it was all based on a true story.
The acting by Leonardo Di Caprio and Tom Hanks are great.

"Catch Me If You Can" starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks. The DVD is a two-disc set, which features the film in your choice of widescreen or Standard format(why would you want standard?) along with plenty of behind the scenes goodies and documentaries to supplement the film.



I did not see the film when it was released in the theater. I thought about it, but I couldn't overcome my displeasure of Leo DiCaprio and the whole "Titanic" hype. However, now that I have seen it, I regret my hesitance, because it really is a fine film.



Directed by Steven Spielberg, "Catch Me If You Can" is based on the true story of a teenager, who, upon learning of his parents divorce, runs away from home and develops a knack for forging checks and passing himself off as a doctor, a lawyer, and anything else required to maintain his wild lifestyle. The film takes place in the 60's and is full of color and fun. Leo DiCaprio does such a fine job that I forgot all about "Titanic". And Tom Hanks, who plays a government agent out to catch Leo, delivers his best performance since "Saving Private Ryan." The movie is a lot of fun to watch, and, after making such heavy handed films as "Artificial Intelligence" and "Private Ryan", it is good to know that Steven Spielberg can still create a movie as delightful as the ones he made in his prime, such as "Jaws" and "Raiders of the Lost Ark."

I TRULY LOVE THIS MOVIE, BUT I AM SIMPLY WARNING YOU THAT THERE ARE SOME SEXUAL SCENES/NUDITY-NOT TOO BAD, BUT SHOULDN'T BE VIEWED BY YOUR YOUNGER TEENS. IT DOES INVOLVE SOME SEXUAL MATTER SUCH AS AFFAIRS/16/17 YR OLDS HAVING RELATIONS. IF YOU ARE AN ADULT, HOWEVER, THIS IS A GREAT AND INTERESTING MOVIE. IT MAKES YOU WONDER HOW HE GOT AWAY WITH ALL OF THIS. IT WILL CERTAINLY KEEP YOU ENTERTAINED. THER AREA FEW PARTS THAT RE PRETTY BORING, BUT SINCE THOSE DON'T LAST VERY LONG, IT'S NOT TOO BAD. ANOTHER REASON I SAY NOT TO SHOW THIS TO YOUR TEENS ID BECAUSE OF WHAT TEH WHOLE MOVIE IS ABOUT(CHECK LAUNDERING/BANK FRAUD AND SO ON). YES, IT IS JUST A MOVIE, BUT YOU DON'T WANT THEM TO GET ANY IDEAS ABOUT IT EITHER.

Catch Me If You Can - Very good movie about a man who is dodging the FBI over the coarse of years because he is a paper hanger. See the movie and you will know what that is. Very entertaining story and great actors.

I didn't see this movie in the theater but I did see it both on DVD and on tv, Each time I enjoy it more.

I really don't care too much for Leonardo but in this movie he is GREAT as Frank Abagnale Jr.

This movie is based upon a true story about a man who was always a fake.

The plot of the movie: A true story about Frank Abagnale Jr. who, before his 19th birthday, successfully conned millions of dollars worth of checks as a Pan Am pilot, doctor, and legal prosecutor.

This movie also has some excellent actors in it. Such as Tom Hanks who plays Carl Hanratty, Christopher Walken who plays Frank Abagnale, Sr, and Martin Sheen who plays Roger Strong.

This is one movie that should be seen. You won't regret it.

I really enjoyed this movie! I'm not a huge Leonardo fan, but he does give a great performance here. What is even more remarkable is that this movie is based on a true story! It will keep your attention, and you will enjoy it!

i love this movie!!! its about a boy who is inspired by his father to start telling lies to get people to bend rules for him and he uses this as a way to steal .... then he goes on to disguise himself as a teacher, then furthur more disguise as and collect wages as a pilot, a doctor and even a lawyer!!! all without even graduating high school!!! the craziest thing is this is based upon a REAL STORY!!! just to clarify the storyline here is inspired by the real life story, but they take a lot of the things he has done and put it into here, however they also ad their own things to this movie (watch the special features to learn more).
this real life man this story is based on is the same man who came up with a lot of the security features on cheques and paper currency that we see everyday today.... he goes from being a dishonest cheque faudster (who is so smart about how to deceive the system) to being a well paid man making millions of honest money fighting the crime he perfected. even more amazingly he did all this starting at age 16 and all the way upto 18!!!!!
you HAVE to watch this movie!!!!! you wont be able to help but appreciate all that happens here!!!!

First of all, I really think Leonardo DiCaprio is a formidable actor, not to mention justplain sexy to look at! I usually love any movie he is in and this one definitely is a winner! What is so amazing about this movie is that it is based on a fascinating true story. If you like drama, intrigue, and government agency type of flicks, this one is definitely for you!

This disc “freezes” up about 30 minutes in. The only time I have ever seen this phenomena is on a disc that has been copied. I only bought one, I can absorb the loss, but if you make a big purchase. Be careful!!

I like that it is based on a true story. The actors are wonderful. I appreciate the era in which it was based and the job well done replicating it. There isn't anything I don't like about it! I missed the beginning of it on television and the same night I was online ordering it. It is an excellent movie overall and a good lesson to anyone considering the lifestyle of Frank Abagnale.

The real Frank Abagnale was impressed with Leo's portrayal of the mature beyond his years, immature beyond anybody's imagination, daring juvenile famous for fleecing anybody and everybody! You will be too. Another great performance by Christopher Walken and Tom Hanks as well! A must-see and must-have film.

I like to watch Tom Hanks and Leo. They are great in this movie. This is just a good movie. It keeps you interested through the whole movie.

This movie is a very exciting movie that keeps you on your toes about if the guy is going/when will be getting cought. Tom Hanks and Dicaprio really make this movie the way it should be. No other actors could have done this movie any better. They both play well together and make a good good vs. bad guy team. I would deff recommened seeing this movie and if you already have GET IT. One movie that you can watch anytime.
