Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (DVD, 2002, Special Collector's Edition 2-Disc Set)

This is in my opinion one of the best installments in the Star Trek motion picture series. The movie literally picks up right where part two left off and makes excellent use of a loose thread from that movie, where Spock mind-melds with Dr. McCoy. This becomes the basis for The Search for Spock, the attempt to retreive Spocks personal essence, stored in McCoy's brain, and reunite it with his rejuvenated and regenerating body, now marooned on the newly terra-formed Genesis planet from which Spock must be rescued before it self destructs. All this while Captain Kirk has to fend off Klingons eager to get their hands on this new Federation technology they consider a weapon. All together, it adds up to a great entertainment experience.

The story line was just to predictable and shallow. Some of the acting was not very good for a production of this size. And with a brand like STAR TREK I expected more. But it is watchable and for true STAR TREK fans it is a must to own. It does seem that all of the odd numbered releases are not as good as the even numbered ones. The extra material on the Collector's Edition does help the over all purchase.

This film that brings us the personages of" new generation" remains a film well, quiet with a little actions but without more.

Wanted to buy some of the DVDs of the series. I am a trekkie fan. Tape came quickly and in good condition. I think that Shatner and Nimoy were wonderful in the roles. I will try and purchase others. I love sci fi and this was the best of that genre.

Good movie! A trekie favorite. Not as great as the sequel "The Voyage Home", but still a great show. Live long and prosper.

One of the many movies I had on vhs that I'm now replacing with dvds's. It came in great condition. One of my favorite movies.

Wish the DVD came in time for Christmas, but that was mostly my fault for purchasing it so late!
Overall the shipping was quick and the DVD was in great condition and for such a LOW PRICE! I was thrilled!

This movie is AWESOME! Although it doesn't move as quickly as Wrath of Khan, this storyline is great! Great sacrifice and strategy on Admiral Kirk's part as well as some great Klingon action. This is a must add to any Star Trek collection!

I like this DVD because it has a great picture and sound, was at a great price, and the seller sent it to me quickly so that my family and I could enjoy watching it. Thank you for this great, classic movie on DVD.

I bought it because I've loved Star Trek since the very first. I'm happy to have it because it has lots of Special Features on disk two. I'm not happy because it came without the case, which leaves it vulnerable.
But the seller was very nice and shipped quickly.
We'll enjoy it for a long time.

I am glad I finally have this on DVD, so I can add it to my other Star Trek DVD's. I have been a lifetime Trekker/Trekkie, and love most things Trek.
