The 33 Strategies of War by Robert Greene (2006, Hardcover)

My father is a politician in my county, so I think my review will actually be revealing, as it is a review made by someone that has used the book in his dealings with other people.

There isn't a single page in this book that doesn't offer sound advice. The historical research is truly amazing and really drives the point home. Life, even life in peace is a constant warfare. You deal with people that try to mangle your dreams and force themselves on you. They may be corrupt officers, they may be passive-aggressive coworkers, but they are there. The book help you avoid the pitfalls and actually do something in your life.

Far more than the advice it offers, this is a trully well-writen book! The style is compeling and really immerses you in the book's offerings.

I highly advise you to buy it! Just don't use it against me!

This is a great book to place close to your work area. Just open it up and begin where you left your marker. In fact, open it up anywhere. One or two pages could give you hours of pondering. It's a book that kick starts the grey cells into walking exercises. And leave the leash in the closet. Jon Craig. 12/06/06

If you are a serious student of persuasion and negotiating you have to get this book.

I have never seen such an excellent presentation of how the human mind works, how to exploit it to your advantage, and case examples of the techniques at work.

It's very long, so think you can read it all in one sitting, but it is all relevant information not useless fluff.

As with all Robert Greene's books, please don't use these techniqes to hurt peope, they are powerful and the do work.

I have always like the work of Robert Greene. He combines psychology, history and philosophy like no other author. This is another one of his presentations which is not only a good read but inspirational to the max. I would give full points to this book!
