Great movie first off and then non-famous actor Matthew Lillard comes in on a key role that will live on long after when hes still around making the "made for ESPN movies" in the near future. This is the history/bio of main character Stevo and his group of friends who find the punk scene making alot more sense through the early years of post-high school but not to senseable come adulthood. A great view on the scene from a director/writer who was actually there and explains it in both sides so no matter who happens to view this flix...it makes sense to all. Yes theres hidden Smiths references and Adam Ant lookalikes within here as well for the 80s scene kids, dont worry...there are PLENTLY. Overall this movie goes on my top 10 list on any day...and if your a new friend of mine, be WARNED- you WILL be watching it in the near future. CC

This is a really good movie, an indy film made in 1999. It's about an anarchist and his friends growing up in 1985, I really like it because you can see how he matures and grows up, finding himself and his cause. It's a bit long, but well worth the hour and a half if you really like dramas. I recommend to anyone who has ever been a rebel without a cause

I loved it...! Totally takes you into the mind of a punk. Shows you how and why they rebel. Explains why they are who they are. Total journey into young hearts and minds. Also relates to life and love and family drama. Fun flick, kinda reminded me of myself. Growing up is hard to do and maturing into who you are is a pain in the a**. Grab some popcorn and watch a cool flick. Live, Laugh, Love and most of all REBEL!!!

SLC Punk is a true colt classic. Most movie reviews say it is either decent or not worth the money. I actually heard about it from a friend and my sister so I watched it online and loved it. It will have you constantly laughing. There are some serious parts too. I HIGHLY recommend at least giving it a chance.

I watched this movie knowing nothing about it. My friends asked me to watch it and I did and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The basic premise is about a young college graduate who thinks he knows that he wants out of his life and what he is going to do while going against everything his family and society stands for. He realizes by the end of the movie that he can conform while still being a rebel at heart. The movie was not too long, nor too short. It explained things accurately and clearly and made its points in a concise and clear manner. It had humor, sorrow and love all good aspects of a movie.

I love this movie! I owned it previously and then it was borrowed and never returned. I tried to find it again but wasn't able to. Then I found it for sale and brand new. Had to have it.

slc punk is one of good movies that you never herd of, and a movie that is hard to find in a store. i like useing ebay because you can find thing for a good price and find item that you might not find in a store. the movie came in kind of slow but the movie was in good shape. my brother does'nt has ebay so he use my account to get this movie. once the movie came in i give to my brother then he led my brrrow it so i can watch. slc punk is a unique movie that has i lot crazy cool thing go on in the movie and has a couple of funny parts in it. the movie is about two punks trying to live and deal with the people in utah and the the movie takes place in mid 80s. over all it was a good movie that would'nt mind watching again

S.L.C. Punk is a nice picture however the real story would have been much better as Stevo is, in fact, now a rock star, Heroin Bob is alive and well. Sadly Sean Fightmaster died two years ago and is greatly missed.

Punk Rockers, and rockers in general will love this. It kind of has the teen movie feel to it, but it touches pretty deep on a couple of issues, such as the whole poser thing and the whole anarchy thing. Set in 1985 so it kind of reaches to a moderatly older crowd, but over 35 probably wont get it.

This is required watching if you claim to be punk, and highly reccomended if you are into any form of rock. Anyone who lived around 1985 and todays teen and college generation can definetly watch it and like it and relate to it.

I REMEMBER PICKING THIS UP FOR THE FIRST TIME AT THE LOCAL VIDEO STORE WHEN I WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL AND KNEW VERY LITTLE ABOUT PUNK MUSIC...IT WAS STARTING TO BECOME AN OBSESSION OF MINE. I WATCHED THIS VIDEO WITH ALL MY FRIENDS AND IT BECAME PART OF OUR CLASSIC MOVIES TO WATCH WHILE WE HUNG OUT AND DRANK, DIED OUR HAIR, PARTIED, ETC. IT STILL TAKES ME BACK TO THOSE GOOD OLD DAYS WHEN I WAS JUST TOO "PUNK". THE MAIN CHARACTER IS PLAYED BY MATTHEW LILLIARD WHO IS A VERY GOOD ACTOR, AND AN ACTUAL REAL PUNK ROCKER IN REAL LIFE...HE HATES HIS TOWN, FEELS MISUNDERSTOOD, GETS WAY CAUGHT UP IN THE WHOLE PUNK SCENE WHEN IT WAS REALLY EXPLODING BACK IN THE 80'S, AND TELLS A STORY OF REGRET, FRIENDSHIP AND REALIZING WHO YOU ARE. THIS IS SUCH A FILM FOR EVERYONE, ESPECIALLY IF YOU WERE EVER A PUNK! GREAT MUSIC TOO!!

This is one of those great films that tend to fall under the radar. I loved this movie since the first time i watched it. Even those who had true doubts about it seem to love it just the same. The movie is rated a comedy, but everyone who has watched it with me has found themselves tearing up at some point throughout. Everyone owes it to themselves to see this film atleast once.

This movie is funny and off beat. Not the same as every other movie you watch. Lots of great great GREAT music. Insight into minds of teenagers becoming adults in SLC, utah - during the 80's. Some parts are sad, some are funny, some are thoughtful. Great soundtrack! FYI - Steer clear if you can't handle drug content - not super glamrous or extremely anti-drug. A really cute movie that makes me laugh out loud. :)

I like the quality of the movie and case. I decided to buy it from ebay because I was unable to find the movie with the leather jacket cover anywhere else.

This is a great flick, it reminded me alot of my growing up in Suburbia in the late late 70's to early 80's, except we didn't do the hair or clothes. We were just preppy upper middle class kids with alot of energy and time on our hands and we were acting out. I could relate.

The first half is great, great chemistry between the main character and his parents, great story line about why hes a punk and why he's pissed off. Second half is little lacking, but for the most part this is a great movie. I highly recommend it.
