Blade (DVD, 1998, Platinum Edition)

At a time when Comic Book movies were not as "IN" as they are today, Blade is definitely a CUT above the rest! This film's story-telling and Hong Kong-style Martial Arts scenes are clever, gritty and crowd-pleasing for any action film (or other) buff. And, the slick CGIs and general visuals firmly add to the movie's surreal atmosphere; leaving viewers wanting to venture into Blade's gothic world again and again! Yeah, Wesley Snipes was never more cool! A+!

Great action sequences. Story is not bad either. Wesley Snipes was great. Deacon Frost was a great villain. Stephen Dorff played that character real well. If you want action, plot, and chreography then this movie is it.

The DVD was not new, but was in like new condition. The movie played fine. Very satisfied with the purchase.

Blade is one of the little known characters from the Marvel Comic books. He was originally introduced in the Spiderman comics, but was released in this movie format back in 1998.

Blade is a new take on the classic vampire movie franchise. Blade is a mutant type vampire, he was only partially changed due to the fact his mother was bitten when he was still a baby in her womb. SO he can do things other vampires cannot do, like walk in sunlight!

He is then taken in by Whistler and trained in the art of slaying vampires. Blade ends up taking on Deacon Frost who is masterfully played by Stephen Dorff.

A great movie by producer Wesley Snipes (oh and he plays Blade Also!)

Best of the Trilogy.... but I was hoping for more, being a fan of Blade in the comic book series 'Tomb of Dracula'.

Wesley Snipes is a good choice for Blade.

I disliked the fact that the seller did not package the DVD properly. It came with a crushed box (the DVD was intact) that the shipper could not replace. I cannot rate the item itself because I finally received a refund for the purchase. I WOULD NOT ever deal with this seller again!

This is a wonderfully action packed horror movie with an interesting story. I purchased this movie when it was first released, and somehow misplaced it. I realized this was definitly a movie to have in my collection. Starring Wesley Snipes as lead character and a great group of supporting characters, this movie is great to watch and in some parts a bit scary.

I am very pleased with seller. I purchased several movies and all of them were in perfect shape, they were all a great price, they were in great working order. I am quite pleased. Thanks!

My son wanted all of the Blades for Christmas. I saw this on ebay and thought this was wonderful to purchase for him for Christmas.

The price was reasonable and so was the shipping.The delivery time was fast also.Iwill buy from this seller again.

All three movies appeal to different people in any audience, but overall they tell a very vibrant story of a rogue Vampire who is known as the Daywalker, who hunts other vampires by night. As far as the soundtrack for the 2nd installment, if you don't like curse words, I would advise looking for the censored CD. Otherwise, the music is from the second movie and will move you right along with the tunes.

I loved this movie. Wesley snipes was a excellent choice for this part. I" m a big Snipes fan and I love action.

This is the movie that started it all. I hadn't seen it for a while. This tells the tale of the Daywalker, Blade, who hunts and kills vampires. I LOVE this movie.

This movie was great when it first came to theaters in 1998. Wesley Snipes did a great job as Blade and he was the first actor to bring back comic book movies. The first Blade movie had no flaws whatsoever. Based on the name of the movie, it is a must have to any DVD collector.

The violence is successfully broken up with a variety of one-liners and other humour. Wesley Snipes makes a fine vampire hunter, looking great at all times. Stephen Dorff too makes a fine villain. Stylish and entertaining. Grat fun.
