The Chamber (DVD, 1998, Widescreen)

This is a great movie. It will keep you on the edge of your seat all the way through the move. It has some of the best stars in it. It is worth every penny you spend.

The DVD was in mint condition but i was not pleased about the case. On the back it had a huge cratch so now i have to replace the case which cost more money. Other then that brand new DVD.

This is an interesting movie with Gene Hackman and Chris O'Donnell in is yonger days. I like it that it is one of the movies closest to its movies from/made by/wrote by John Grisham. I hope other people are willing to watch.

Thhis movie based on the book of the same name by John Grisham..stars Gene Hackman and Chris O'Donnell what a team..Gene Hackman plays to perfection Sam Cayhall a KKK member who discovers too late far too late that hate is the wrong path to take..when he's accused of murder when a bomb he's accused of planting kills a set of twins and nearly kills their Father, but results in the loss of both of his legs and his suicide Sam is tried and convicted and sentenced to die for his crimes..does his clansmen stand by his side?..No, like the cowards they are after all they do wear the hoods, they let him face justice on his own while they go on their merry way..After firing his attorney Sam meets his new Lawyer a young brash Man out to prove his innocense it takes him awhile, but he soon discovers this young Man is more then a lawyer he's his Grandson Adam..secrets and pain are revealed that help this family torn apart by hatred come back together..Can Sam be saved? Can his Daughter be saved from herself?..Faye Dunaway does a great job playing the Southern Belle with so many secrets she's torn apart..Can the past be undone? Can I'm sorry make a difference? Will true justice be served? watch and see you will love this film from beginning to end..I give this film 5 out fo 5 bars only coz I can't go any higher!

I read the book and was interested in seeing how well the movie followed the book. I thought it was pretty good. As usual it was not nearly as good as the book. I am trying to see all of the Grisham books made into movies and so far I think this one was one of the best. I realize it is difficult to have everything in the movie, however I don't understand why they change so much. The book is usually the reason why people want to see the movie and it really should be the same story. This movie varied from the movie in several parts that would have been better if left as it was in the book.

This was a Christmas gift for my sister. I have purchased many DVD's and books for my family for Christmas this year. The Chamber was an excellent movie that we have enjoyed quite a few times. It has a lot of character and is difinately a good choice if you like suspense and mystery. I highly reccomend this DVD.
