Geronimo: An American Legend (DVD, 1998, English and French Subtitles; Closed Caption)

Wonderful movie about the actual dealings with our native americans and how they fought to keep their land. The cultures of the wild wild west. Great cowboys and indians show.

What I loved about this Dvd and the film was that it was so well done in covering the truth about the Great Geronimo and the tragedy of the Native Americans!
There has never been enough films of this nature made as it is because the people really don't want to see or hear the truth about the real American Indians and what they were forced to deal with when it came to their land,water and animals being taken from them and this film really tells the story of one of thee Greatest Americans to ever live Geronimo.
The role of Geronimo is so perfectly done by the powerful Wes Studi,who has done such wonderful work in other films such as "The Last Of The Mohicans" and "Dances With Wolves" such a truly dedicated actor to his art and the people a truly blessed man carrying a true message in his films.
I strongly suggest to anyone who has not seen this film or has an intrest in the Native Americans as I do to fill the void that is in your DVD collection with this movie "Geronimo" as soon as possible!

I purchased this DVD because:
1) I like Robert Duvall in just about any role.
2) I have close ties to the Native American Community and I believe that this movie does tell some real truths about Geronimo, his life and his death. He was a great warrior and will always be remembered amoung his people as a great Apache Leader.

I believe that the movie was presented much as life was really like in Geronimo's life time. Life was hard and the government used deception and force to deal with the people.

I bought the movie because I like the actor Robert Duvall. It's been awhile since I watched it. I did like the movie, it was a little long. It had some interesting points in it. I not sure exactly how accurate it was, but it sounded real. All the actors were good.

I was pleased with the amount of time of delivery. It stated 3 to 4 weeks, but I received it in about a week. I'll buy from this company again. I rate them in excellent catagory.

One of the greastest westerns I've ever seen. Great scenery, Great acting. I like to watch it every few months.
