  Great Continuation of Part 1

If you liked the first installment, this is the continuation. It doesn't answer some of the burning questions left behind by the first one but this one has more storyline that leaves you yearning for more.

Pros:
1) Good story line
2) Good fight engine
3) Lots of CGI movies

Cons:
1) Too many CGI movies (for those that doesn't like it)
2) May not be the conclusion and requires that you play the first one to really know what's going on (or you can just search online for the original story)
3) CGI graphics not as beautiful as the Final Fantasy Series

  Super Game: Part 2

If you haven't played the 1st Xenosaga game, then you shouldn't really be playing this one. This game is considered the least favorite of the 3 Xenosaga games due to its different battling style, but without this game you would miss a ton of story! Just play it.

  Simply Disappointing...

If you check your information on the creators of Xenosaga episode I and those who made episode II, there was a lot of transition occuring and it shows in the game. Some of the characters are vastly different than they were in I (and mostly not an improvement). The story is altered, gameplay is less fun, battle system is ridiculous. Don't spend too much money on it, and only play it for the sake of moving through and ultimately finishing out the series. Don't play it for it's own value, because it has very little.

Xebisaga Episode II: Playstation 2 Game
Review created: 03/19/07

The game is colorful and cartoon-like. It has many characters to change throughout the game, along with the advance stages to combat the enemy. It could challenge the mind for it alertness. It is, indeed, a computer entertainment that is loved by many children, teenagers, and adults, alike. I don't recommend very young children to play this game because of the extensiveness of fighting and fire.

If you loved Xenogears, you will love this game, I have to warn you, this is not a sequel the Xenogears, but an attempt of another company to give us a parallel game. You will have to play all three installments to get the full story but each game has its own appeal worth picking it up if you are and RPG and Big Mech fan.

Xenosaga Episode II is a lot different in term of battle system when compared with Episode I. There are many gamer disliked the changes, but the change is not that bad at all. If the developer kept everything the same then it would almost be like an Episode I, then would would u bother pay money for just a story and everything is exactly the same. New battle system requires new planning and strategy, and that's what RPG gamers want, right?

A Good Sequel To Xenosaga I
Review created: 11/08/09
by:

There is good and bad with the changes made to the game mechanics of Xenosaga II compared to I. The techs are now automatic and ethers are learned via skill points. I miss the tech development, but the addition of the stocking system is a big improvement over the guarding option in episode I. The vioce acting is not as good, especially in the first chapter, though it improves. Other than those few qualms, it is a great game. The story line is very good, and a new character is added, Jin Uzuki, who is Shion's brother. He is a great character and a welcome addition to the game. There are also a lot more side quests, from which many unique and useful items can be attained. All in all, a very good, though not perfect, sequel.

At the last minute I changed my mind when purchasing this the first time and they kindly allowed me to rescind my offer right away. They were so nice that when I realized I did have the money to purchase it a day later that I immediately asked to purchase it for real. They accepted right away and they were so nice about it. The product was in great condition, exactly as described, and shipped very quickly. The shipper proved patient, kind, and trustworthy. I would shop again in a heartbeat!

May not be the best of the series...but...
Review created: 08/04/09

The game is a decent continuation of the first game. However it takes a slower pace than the original to shed more light on its characters and the imminent danger. It sounds like it is a good thing, but it for me it further strayed from the story, losing the intense momentum the first one carried. It also downsized the character enhancement system into a more simplistic system, losing some of the customization of the first. However, this title fixed some of the problems that the combat system of the first had.
All in all, If you played the first, its a shame not to play the second one. Great game, but not excellent. Thank God for the third episode!!

  Amazing game
Review created: 04/09/09

one thing that I can expect out of a game with the prefix "Xeno" is a great storyline. Xenosaga II picks up right off of Xenosaga I. The game immediately throws you into action. You will spend about 3 hours in the Memories of MOMO. I will warn you at first the games Mechanics are very confusing but after you catch on let's just say that you can do about 30,000 damage to an enemy by using boosts and combos. Xenosaga II has had som bad reveiws but don't buy them because this game is rockin, it may not be as good as number 1 and 3 but play it for the story and an RPG that you will remember for the rest of your life. The graphics are good but they changed the characters looks which made me mad but did not change what I thought of the game. The voice acting could have been better but I really don't care if a game has bad voice acting as most RPG games do. If you love Xenosaga you must get this game If you love Xenogears try out the Xenosaga Series.

Game is in very good shape, and it is quite entertaining. I decided to purchse the game for a challenge. It didn't take long to conquer this game. There was way too much dialogue and not enough action.

An excellent middle chapter to a great saga
Review created: 10/05/08
by:

Gotta say, this game is great. I've been a fan since Xenogears. The story line of this game is epic, stringing over 3 games. Combat sequences in the game are often, but never quite repetitive, always making you think just a little. I bought it for the simple fact that I need to finish it so I can get onto the third chapter of the series. I was only an hour away from the finish, yet I've decided to start over from disk one, episode one just so I can get right into the feeling again.

Xenosaga Episode 2: why I love thee
Review created: 06/13/08

I'm not going to take up a lot of time, but the Xenosaga series is a must-have for RPG fans, particularly those who enjoyed Square's Xenogears.

Xenosaga is meant to be a spiritual successor to the series, and as you may have noticed it is no longer published by square, although many of the original staff members left to produce this game with namco.

It features a turn-based combat system that is fast paced (similar to Final fantasy 10). In terms of graphics and plot, I seem to be able to compare it admirably with that of star ocean: till the end of time. It is very full of science fiction and seems to take place several hundred years in the future.

Very enjoyable part of a very memorable series.

  A good Sequel
Review created: 05/30/08

This is a good sequel I didn't like that voice actors were changed and the new skills system is a little hard to get used to but all in all the game is cleaner and a little more high tech looking, however the sound track is terrible, The first game was performed by the London philharmonic if i am not mistaken, this wasn't it's some shotty techno sounding lameness that I don't care to hear they really lowered the bar in this area.

  Great game!
Review created: 05/16/08

I was relieved when this game was released. This episode answered a lot of my questions from episode 1. Some of the storyline was cut as a result of the entire series being cut in half. I think the storyline could have been a little bit better if some of the material hadn't been cut. Other than that, it's still a great game. Especially with the new addition to the battle system. The new duel attack system is a system when two characters do a single, more powerful attack together. It's just too bad that episode 1 didn't have the duel battle system.
