300 (DVD, 2007, Special Edition)

I gave this movie and excellent review. I bought the movie through Columbia house dvd club. My daughter is a Gerard Butler fan. My wife and I sat and watched it, there is some female and some brief male nudity in the film.
King Leonitis (gerard Butler) and the Queen (Lena Headley), share a common bond that they share everything in the like, their love and passion, to stay free.
300 Spartans go to a narrow pass along a cliff, where they are accompanied by neighbors who are blacksmiths, potters, and builders. They help the Spartans at the pass defeat the Persians, and the charging rhinos and elephants. This movie does not show the epic battle at sea, whereas the persians lost there too. Nor does it show the 10k Spartans and 30k Greeks in the end battle a so called mortal god.
This film epic shows the courage and the bravery around the 300 men who fought for freedom andto remain as free men not under a dictatorship of a tyrannical leader from another country who uses black arts and demi gods to control their citizens. Some historical enthusiasts will see a deviation in the film according to accuracy in history as I did. Don't be surprised if your wife or girlfriend remind you-it's just a film to attract an audience.(mine did).
This is a good film, to remind all of us, to remain free, we must fight to survive to remain free.
I would like to see this film get an oscar, for acting, and the location and the graphic arts of the film.
