30 Rock - Season 1 (DVD, 2007, 3-Disc Set)

One of the best shows of today, 30 Rock has incredibly witty humor and the DVDs are the perfect gift for the holidays (or any other occassion). Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin do a superb job in this show, and I give even more kudos to Fey for her creativity in writing.

I watched some of the Season 1 episodes when they were on TV. They are even better watching them all in a row. The NBC page played by Jack McBrayer is hilarious. Alec Baldwin’s Jack Donaghy is witty and more amusing than I expected. Tina Fey is genius. As the writer/producer of this show she is awesome. I am spending my day watching this and look forward to the extras, too.

After seeing a couple episodes of 30 Rock on NBC, I decided to buy the first season of 30 rock. I used to be a huge fan of Saturday Night Live. 30 Rock features many actors that worked for SNL or made guest appearances. The show is mostly focused on Tina Fey and her daily struggle to manage the cast, set people, and writers of a skit-based TV show. Alec Baldwin plays the role of NBC executive and boss to Tiny fey. He is arguably the funniest Character with at least a dozen one liners per episode. Tracy Morgan plays the big shot actor and is often seen acting outrageous or idiotic, which is most of the time is very funny. Overall the show is great and I highly recommend the purchase.

My 23yr old son recommended this series to me, stating it as extremely well written comedy. He is right! Now, add to that a great cast of characters..and you can't go wrong! Do note: It is more adult humor & not meant for children.

The series is one of our favorites - it is good to be able to see it whenever we want rather than waiting for it to be on TV.

I just bought 30 Rock - Season 1 and it's amazing. I'm a huge fan of the show Arrested Development, and this is the closest thing to it. Great storyline, with hilarious and random moments. and not to mention a great cast, including Will Arnett for a few episodes

This is a DVD that any Tina Fey fan should own. The wit is fast and sharp. It can be goofy as well. Gotta love the characters.

I decided to purchase 30 Rock after watching the Golden Globes and seeing all the awards it had received. I will say that it is a very funny show if you like comedy that leans toward the far side, it can be very dry at times and then go completely wacky with jokes about giant dancing babies. I think the show is one of the better comedies on television today, so I'll give season 1 of 30 Rock a good rating a 4/5. But I would also recommend purchasing Arrested Development or Curb Your Enthusiasm if you really want to laugh from start to finish. That being said, I think Tina Fey and her show deserve all the awards they get considering the material they can work with on primetime network television. So go on and enjoy.

I purchases 30 Rock Season 1 because my husband and I really enjoy watching the show. It is a great comic show with wonderful writing. The characters do a fabulous job and the jokes are far superior to that of most comic shows lately. I had a great experience with this seller, it was an opened DVD but in brand new condition. I would reccomend this seller in the future. Although buyer beware in an economic times like this, I haven't always been so fortunate to have such good sellers to work with.

This is one of the funniest comedies I've seen since Seinfeld. The humor, while not quite as ironic and dry as The Office, is sophisticated and ample. The acting is first-rate, both Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin in lead roles and the rest of the outstanding cast. It's laugh out loud funny every time. Well worth buying.
