3 Doors Down by 3 Doors Down (CD, May-2008, Universal Republic)

It's another of there great cd's.They don't make just a few potential hits and throw em on a CD , they put thier heart and soul in all thier music and it comes through and hits you hard on this one! Have to say this is probably thier second best, next to the first one with all the hits on it, lol, but I can't recall the name of it, but ya know what I am talking about!!!Great job guy's , keep crakin em out and we'll keep buyin them up!!

bought this album because i am a huge fan of the group. there is nothing i don't like about thid cd.

This album is very very good. It is not as good as their first couple of albums but is a quality album with many very nice songs. I like it a lot!!!!!

I bought this for my husband for Christmas he loves it !!! He had been wanting this and he was not dissappointed.

I love this album! This isn't one of those albums where you only like a few songs, 3 Doors Down doesn't make singles they make albums! I love every song, lyrics rock some close to home. Would recommend to anyone that likes real music.

I got this CD because I love 3 Doors Down & I have bought every one of their CD's. I was not disappointed. I love the whole CD. That is hard to say for most of the groups out there.

3 Doors Down is one of the fewest band in the rock world today that does not sing about womanizing, partying till you puke, and figuring out a way to go to jail. Yet they maintain there edge and are a very solid rock band.

The singer can actually sing. And the band does not lack in musical style.

The bad.
Some of the melodies are close to some of the older songs they have done. This has more to do with the choice of scale and arpeggio patterns to maintain the bands sound. I believe they concentrated a little to hard to maintain the (bands sound) than should have been.
I believe the guitar player could of been a bit more experimental and dare i say not try to keep the same sound so much that it seems as though he running over the same ground again.

But overall these guys are the best i have heard live. I go to 7-8 concerts a year and continue to be the best sounding band. They are not the best showmen but the best sound. I mean to say Kiss is a great show but the music is horrible.

Best Cd that they have put out I think. They are so awesome. I love the band. Couldn't be better. Songs are great. LOng album. Its awesome love it. Cant say more about it. Its just awesome

I bought this CD because I absolutely love 3DD. I've been anxiously awaiting this CD's release. Much to my dismay, it is not nearly as good as their previous CDs (Better Life, Away from the Sun, 17 Days.) The songs are average with very few guitar solos (where was Chris when the DVD was recorded?) The DVD was so boring that I fell asleep (so maybe Chris was on it?)

It sounds as though this band has gone commercial/pop and disengaged from their rocker ways. Brad Arnold, the lead singer, says in the DVD that the new CD has some great rock songs. The only song that even comes close to that is the first one. There is way too much singing on this CD and not enough guitar riffs/solos. One thing this recording has done for me: I now regularly play their 3 previous CDs because they are so good! And those recordings are even more precious now. I'll be selling this 2008 copy on ebay, as I don't have any desire to listen to it again. And that is just sad. What happened to the 3DD I used to know and love?
