) great 1950's female 4 part close harmony group with some great titles here. sandman is the obvious favorite and the best known but there are some hidden gems as well such as Born To Be With You - with an alternate take as a bonus. I think personally trio harmonies work better and whilst being a big fan of the chordettes the mcguire sisters are more dynamic and ultimately more memorable. if anyone wants to hear great male trio harmonies they should take a listen to the porter wagoner trio from 1954 to 1959 with the wagonmaster himself, don warden and speedy haworth. now that IS hillbilly heaven. - paulh.
