  VERY ENJOYBLE
Review created: 08/07/09

This was a very good book, easy read and I highly recommend it! PLUS it gives you an insight to the snobby, fake, and terrible Mothers on the Upper East Side!

Good book with a disappointing ending
Review created: 08/07/07

I really liked this book, but quickly realized that there was no way to wrap it up by the time i got more than half way thru it. It started off well, but fizzled out by the end and left me hanging. I was really disappointed with the way the story ended. Maybe this was intentional because there is a sequel?? It definitly left me wanting to know how the "story" ends.

  24-Karat Kids Review
Review created: 07/06/07

I usually read chick lit books about single, silly girls who land the boy in the end, or girls who are having relationship problems but always have a happy romantic ending, and this was different in that the main character (Shelly) is an established professional who has worked hard to get where she is and who is definitely not like moi from Bergdorf Blondes or Becky from the Shopaholic series. Shelly joins a prestigious pediatric clinic and the book witnesses her transformation and the changes it creates in her relationships. It's similar to the Devil Wears Prada because of the 180-degree aboutface of the main characters in each, but unlike Prada, it was too predictable and I found I didn't enjoy it that much. It was nice fluff reading but not something I'll keep on my bookshelf to read again. The ending also seemed incomplete.

Chick Lit from Low Class to High Class
Review created: 10/02/06

I really liked the idea of this being about someone who has had to earn their way to High Class society and becoming a well-liked Posh Pediatrician. I don't like the fact that she was dumped on by her supposed friends and guys, but that wouldn't be chick-lit had it not been there. Can definitely relate to the realness.
