Top Reviews  Can't Stop Watching! 35 of 49 people found this review helpful. The writing, acting and directing is second to no other show on Network television. In fact, this is a show on a par with HBO dramas like The Sopranos, The Wire and Six Feet Under. I've never been a big Kiefer Sutherland fan in the past but he's terrific in the role of Jack Bower, Director of the Counter Terrorism Unit. Surrounding cast members are also great. I don't know what's going to happen (thankfully, no one tipped me off) so I'm on the edge of my seat every episode. Interestingly, even though my wife knows what's going to happen, she's still on the edge of her seat watching! I'm lamenting what life will be like after I've watched all the episodes. The end of every episode leaves you unable to put the remote down and do anything but keep watching 24. If you are okay with letting your house get dusty and ordering pizza for a couple of nights, this is the show for you. By getting the DVD, you can breeze through season one in a weekend---and move on to seasons 2,3, and 4! You'll find yourself perking up when you see a black SUV on the road and you'll definitely hear their theme music in your head for a few days.
