Patti Scialfa is one of the best new artists

This was the first album I ever heard by Patti. I saw her perform on Direct TV for an entire month. Every time she was on I tried to catch as much of the live video concert that I could. She is totally fascinating to watch and her voice has that wonderful, sexy rasp, similar to Bonnie Raitt. I bought the album because of the TV concert, I had to have it.
I especially love "Spanish Dancer", which is on the bonus Cd that is included with the album. It is from her previous alubum "Rumble Doll". This is a live version of the song and listening to it is a moving experience to say the least.
Patti's songwriting is excellent. She really draws you into the visual sites, the people and the stories that she is telling. The band is great and the harmony singers are incredible.
I personally enjoyed every song as soon as I heard it and I listen to the album regularly. I have purchased several copies for my musician friends.
I highly recommend this album for anyone with discerning musical tastes.
