  So repetitive...

This is the second book I have read by Danielle Steel and was disappointed. The author repeats herself too much, almost like she thinks we weren't listening the first time or something. The last ten chapters were lousy and the end was too stinkin' perfect to be believable. Blah.

Along with Agatha Christie, Danielle Steel is in my opinion the best female writer in the world, She is one of my favorite writers, I have read most of her novels,
I wont divulge any plots of this book because if you are like me you dont wont to know the plots until you reach them in the book.
But I do highly recomend this book.

okay title, she does date a lot

I liked this book, not as much as some of her others, but I enjoyed it.
This is a story of a woman who gets dumped after 24 years of marriage. Her husband dumps her for a woman nearly half of his age and they instantly get married and have a child. As in most Danielle Steel books everyone is rich and they really have no need to work. (This is one of the aspects of her books that I don't care for.)
Paris, the main character, goes into a deep depression when he announces that he wants a divorce. Now, Paris is left with aa adult daughter and a son about to leave for college. She is alone. It takes a shrink to get her out of the duldrooms. Finally she decides to move to San Franscico to be near her children. It is here that she lands a job with a famous coordinator of parties. This is just up her alley and she loves planning all the wedding, anniversaries, birthdays, and any type of party. This is where she meets her prospective husbands. The first is a play boy who takes her for a ride in which he wants to not only sllep with her but any one else he feels like. She dumps him. The second is the uncle of a friend. He lives on a ranch with no water or power and makes sculptors of his penis that are 10 feet high all day. A real no go. The third is a father of one of her daughters friends, whos wife recently died. They date but he is too hung up one is departed wife to really have a relationship. They go to this really romantic place for the weekend complete with the fireplace in their room. Now when it comes time for him to make love to Paris, he can't. he calls her by his wife's name and they go home instantly. Bye-bye. Now the fourth is a photographer from France. He is in town to take the wedding photos for a client. They hit it off and before she knows it, they are living together. He is 15 years her junior and she feels he is too immature for her. He proposes to her and he wants her to have babies and all. Paris wants a husband not another child and refuses. Now, she decides she doesn't really need a man that what she needs is a baby. She goes through an adoption agency. In the meantime, her daughter Meg, finds a man that is the same age as her mothers and marries him. At the wedding Paris meets the partner of the man who married her daughter. They don't really hit it off but she figures she better not upset her new son-in-law. Now the agency calls and tells her that they have a baby for her. First she must meet the mother and see if the mother wants her to rear this child. She is turned down but is very hopeful. Next, paris is contacted by the agency again and told that this baby is due in two weeks and would she like to meet the mother. She agrees and finds out that this is baby number five for her, that her husband walked out on her for the neighbor. He won't pay support and she is having her sister take her youngest daughter unitl she can get back on her feet. She also tells Paris that her husband raped her and that he doesn't wants this baby. Paris says she does. They agree that Paris will get this baby. The partner of her son-in-law calls Paris and she agrees to go on a date with him. He is at her house when the phone rings, the baby is coming. He drives her to the hospital. He also comes abck to pick her and the brand new baby up. He takes Paris and her new daughter home. Over the next few months they fall in love and get married. Now, little Hope has a new mom and dad that will love her. Gotta read it.
