21 Hours at Munich (DVD, 2005)

For a movie that came out in 1976,this movie still holds to the real facts and does not give room for the terrorists point of view.I can still remember the sad event in Munich back in the 1972 games.The acting was believeable and William Holden and Shirley Knight really do a fine job playing German police officers.The sad truth here is that Germany was trying to down play the nazi sterotype the world had of their country,so they under reacted to the attack in the beginning.I would highly recommend this movie over its more updated counter-part Munich.

I purchased this movie because it is a true story I watched unfold in the news and it is a True testimony to the courage and bravery of the Israeli Olympians and the people of Israeli people. The facts of the story is eye opening as to how the German government has not changed it's feelings toward the Jewish people over the 30+ years since the atrocities of WWII and it should be a lesson to the world that there is NO reason to negotiate with terrorist or the countries that harbor them today. We said "We Will Never Forget" the Holocaust and again after 9-11-01 but there are still those who want to talk with Iran or the Palestinians and support a United states of Europe with one Dictator. What is the difference between forced Nazism under Adolph Hitler and a even more underhanded United Europe? This movie is something that should be shown and discussed in school classrooms all over the world so that we can say with pride "WE WILL NEVER FORGET" It has to be more than just words.
