A must for Si-fi movie collection

This is one of a very few si-fi movies with real science behind it. If you have seen "2001, A Space Odyssey" you must watch this.

It's about time!The sequel the the groundbreaking 2001: A Space Odyssey, this movie picks up just a few years later when things begin happening around a strange monolith found on the moon. Then things start happening around the derelict ship from the original movie still parked near the original and much larger monolith still there. It seems only another mission can find out what really happened to the ship, its crew, and HAL.
Well written and filmed, as well as well acted and directed, this is one of my favorite movies of all time.
Having it in HD and with 5.1 Dolby is wonderful! The conversion to HD is well done with only a bit of wobble on steady shots, but otherwise nearly flawless.
Seeing the inside and out of Discovery in HD took my breath away! And HAL's reflective eyes are that much creepier.
Casting was well done, and effects were awesome for their day and come over on HD very well.
