Good but Not Perfect
I bought this book on someone's recommendation. I'm getting back into the job market & wanted to use it to get up to speed on the new version of MS Office.
Pro: It's extremely easy to read. There are lots of photos & tips. It covers all the components of MS Office. Good coverage of the Word 'ribbon.'
Con: It only skims some things. For example, one thing I especially wanted to read about was tabs & troubleshooting problems with them in Word. There's only one page about tabs, very basic. Nothing about troubleshooting. Yet this is supposed to be a stand-alone book, for people who may not know anything about the MS Office system. All the photos are of Windows Vista, so if you have XP (like me), you do a lot of looking around for buttons; the book doesn't usually say where to find them in XP.
This is going to be a really useful reference book to keep at the office. Definitely worth keeping.
