Minkus Catalogues are obsolete

It might be OK to purchase this catalogue as a reference work or piece of stamp collecting memorabilia, but do not build your collection using the Minkus numbering system. Amos Press, the publisher of the Scott Stamp Catalogue, purchased the publisher of the Minkus catalogue and the Minkus numbering system in 2004. You will never see another edition of these catalogues.

Great Catalogue
) This Final edition of the Minkus U.S. catalogue -- 50 years after the first edition -- is a terrific work. Far more information about the stamps listed than can be founded in the Scott US catalogue. Historical information on each stamp. Makes the nuances of US stamps -- their variations and types-- very understandable. This is a terrific work and it is a shame that Scott (Amos Advantage) put this catalogue out of business.
