20 Years with the Dolphins (DVD, 2006)

we bought this for our grandaughter. she is instrested in ocean life. the filmming is great,some of it was filmed in the 70s. the facts are very well stated and the people involved are top notch reseachers. the picture quailty is great and there is plenty of action with the dolphins. our grandaughter is only 4 years and it grabs her attention and she is very taken by the show. it explaines and shows things so anyone can understand the film

Excellent DVD. Chronicles two decades of work observing dolphins and their behavior. Gives tons of insight into how they communicate, how they mimic the researchers' actions, feeding and resting behaviors and over the course of the study, a bit about how long they can live.
They actually demonstrate the use of a computer under water to simulate dolphin calls and get interesting responses from the dolphins.

Thankfully, there is more consideration given to conservation and study rather than an environmentalist party line. There is also a refreshing lack of visual gadgets and unnecessary scoring to add drama - much of the background is straight from the underwater sounds. Which can sound a little rough when played over a home theater speaker system! But, that is a positive in this case for me.

The only con I can really think of is that I wish it was much longer than the approximate hour long format that it is. I'm sure there was tons of material that could have been included without making the final cut any less interesting.

I love the dolphines,I give it a very high rating....I told my friends,and they seen it to.they want for them self.I have told to get it.

I loved this movie!!! Dolphins in this movie will make you happy. It shows a part where the dolphins scare sharks away from people. If you like Dolphins you'll LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!!!!

Great video. Great footage about the life of dolphins. Very well done. I have enjoyed watching it with my granddaughter.

I Love Dolphins,so I have to say I loved this movie. It taught me things that I never knew about them. I knew that Dolphins were very smart loving mammals but this movie/show really confirmed that. I would recommend this if you are a Dolphin Lover. Hey it even showed me that there was another Dolphin besides the bottlenose
dolphins.

After I watched this amazing documentary and saw the journey these biologists took into the lives of such spectacular creatures, I had to share it with everyone I knew. I'm sure that you will feel the same way about this beautifully filmed history of 20 Years with the Dolphins.
