I won the auction on a 1911 S $20 gold eagle which Abon's grading service (Star Grading) rated a MS66. I have the coin graded by ANACS and it was graded MS61, 5 grades lower. I complained to Abon and they said that it was common for grading to be 5-6 points difference. My experience say otherwise among reputable grading services.
I suspect that Star Grading is owned by Abon, or the other way around. They grade thousands od coins for Abon and the cost of normal grading would prohibit them from selling their coins.
I will not buy from Abon again and I suggest that others beware also.
