As a person who only knows music as a consumer, not an artist, it is rare that I feel like I can make good sense of a musical piece of work. However, this album is easy to summarize. Quite simply the greatest pop/RB vocalist of this generation at her absolute best. This is the standard that greatness in pop/RB vocals can be measured by over the last 20 years.

1:I like the fact that it's not only a compilation of the hits that she had at that time but also you get bonus unreleased tracks that make the album even better. 2:I love the baby picture on the inside of the cd sleeve.It really gives the fans an inside glimpse of Mariah as a child. 3:I didn't dislike anything about it actually. 4:I decided to buy it because it Mariah, ya know.

A fantastic album from when Mariah Carey was truly in her prime. Her recent efforts have ranged all the way from etremely bad to very good and been a little inconsitent in my opinion.

This album is great from start to finish. her voice is perfect throughout and every single song was a hit!

There's not much more to say other than I highly recommend this album to all!

This is a great cd it features all of Mariah's first greatest hits.There is not one song on the cd that isn't great.Mariah has a great voice and this cd really shows it,I have not heard her 2nd greatest hits cd and I'm sure it is as good as the first,but I just love all the songs on her first greatest hits cd.

This cd is the finest work of Mariah Carey!What a voice!Seems like after this cd her talent,for singing,has been hidden by her misdirected opinion that she needs to be half-naked to sell her music.Nothing could be further from the truth.That may be true for someone lacking talent,but,not for someone with one of the finest voices around!

Yes, She has a beutiful strong voice and yet feminene. I still remember when her hit Someday hit the charts and how blew me away. I like the powerful asertive women portrayed there, it's a real turn on.

Love this CD. It contains most of Mariah's #1 songs over the last few years. She is a very talented singer. I just love her music.

I bought this CD years and years ago, and it never left my car stereo for the first entire year that I had it. Her vocals on some of the songs are definitely goose bump worthy.

If you like your music for the singers and not the songs, this is the CD for you.

I personally listen to alot of metal music and heavier things, so when my friends had to listen to this in my car for months on end, they were shocked.. to say the least. This is a very well rounded cd, in terms of some of the songs are emotional ballads, and others are more fun, happy songs ! I do recommend this CD for all the Mariah fans, and those people who like music with big singers.

When you want to go back to listen to old Mariah #1 hits, this is the CD to get. I love it, it has both slow and up-beat songs.

As the title states, it is Mariah's carey #1 CD. It had all of of her hit songs before the Emacipation of Mimi. I love everysong and It beter than buying all of her albulms if you just want a particular song!!
