The 1964 World's Fair (DVD, 2006)

This was a great opportunity to spend an hour re-living the experience that was the 1964-65 NY World's Fair. The DVD was well done with interviews of people who had attended back then, reflecting on the adventure. I had attended the Fair with my family many times, living in the NY Metro area. I even played in my high school concert band one glorious day in the New York Pavilion. It was a great fair, terrific memories, and this DVD helped, for a short time, bring me back to those days. They were special. With the way the world is today, we'll never see a fair like that--or memories like those--again, sadly enough. They were much more innocent times. I hope in generations to come it might come full circle again and perhaps there could be a NY World's Fair of 2064-65.

Buy this DVD to show your kids, buy another copy to give to your parents to thank them for taking you, if they're still around. And buy it for yourself. It's an hour of wonderful nostalgia.
