Fluid Mechanics, Finnemore & Franzini, tenth ed

This book is required for my fluid mechanics class. We only use the book for homework problmes, and to date I have found 3 errors (mathmatical and ordering) in the 27 problems (over five chapters) I have worked. I was lucky enough to find a solutions manual for the book, but even it has errors. The book does have answers to the chapter exercises, but not the chapter problems. The conversion factor charts in the front and rear covers are easy to use, and include a great deal of information. Presentation of materials in the chapters is similiar to other engineering books, i.e. it is hard to follow at times, but seems easy enough to follow.
If left to me, I would have found a different book to use. I feel that having the right answers to work towards is more important to me as an engineer than a bunch of derivations. Having errors in the stated solutions is frustrating at best and leads one to believe that their method is not correct, when in fact it may be. In my opion, this overweighs the conversions in the front and rear covers of the book and the flow of the text. None of my other engineering texts have had even close to this many errors (one over the last 3 years). This is why I have given this book a below average rating.
