Product Information
Designed by Anthony de Francisci, the Peace Dollar was so named because the word PEACE appears on the bottom of the coin's reverse. It contains 0.77344 troy ounces of silver, and was the successor to the Morgan Dollar, which had not been regularly minted since 1904. With the passage of the Pittman Act in 1918, the mintage of dollar coins was enabled to start again. Prior to the design and acceptance of the Peace Dollar, the Morgan Dollar was minted again in 1921.

    item paid for 3 weeks ago, and no sign of it, nor any communication, i sent him( seller ) 4 emails, and have gotten no response.

    I bid on a nice looking 1923 coin with a good luster, the seller insists I had bid on a dirty worn 1922 coin, which was sent to me. I notified him that I was sending the coin back for a refund, I paid $4.04 to have him sign for the return. This coin's description is 1923, however there is a heading, 1922, of which I did not notice. There are no stipulations listed as to a return, except 7 days. I am certainly within the 7. To this date, I have not been refunded my money.
