As a new coin collector I've been very impressed with the enormous availability of high grade coins of all types and with the resonableness of price. With todays gas price it's more convenient to shop at home with e-bay and I might more thrilling when you win!

This is a beautiful dollar, Someone put this away the day they got it in 1881. It is a bit tarnished but not a trace of use. The year and mint are fairly common but in this condition, there cannot be many. I am looking forward to having it graded. I bought it to go with another dollar I bought, a 1880-s Morgan that was at a rummage sale. It was in an ugly clock, using coins as numbers. All unc. 1964 coins with the dollar as the 12. They were asking $1.00 for it. They must have thought it to be fake. That dollar is around a MS-66, this one is even better.

Morgan silver dollars are the most beautiful and artistic coins ever minted. They have high silver content and make a good investment and will always be in demand. They make excellent gifts, especially when they are 100 years older than a birth year.

REVISITING AN OLD HOBBYI acquired this Morgan off of Ebay which has presented me with a new chance at reliving an old pasttime. I used to collect coins when I was younger and had the chance to work the paper routes the older boys had in my neighborhood. I had amassed a nice collection of Mercury dimes, silver dimes, quarters, steel cents, silver certificates, Buffalo nickels, and such. I then grew older and "sold" or rather gave my collection away for almost face value to an unscrupulous dealer. Now I'm disabled due to an industrial injury and I can't perform many things daily I used to take for granted. I can collect a few coins though. : ) I figure I will continue to collect coins for an inheritance of sorts for my two son's to divvy up whenever I pass on. Maybe by then they may be worth considerably more than what I am obtaining them at. Until then, I have regained my past passion for collecting these fine pieces of art and history for my amusement and adoration.
