18 Wheels of Steel: Pedal to the Metal (PC Games, 2004)

Excellent graphics, easy to see, easy to operate for kids and adults. Once you've started the game you lose total track of time. My husband drives truck for a living and still plays this game when he gets home.

My kid's received the trial version of this program in the mail and played it all the time. Once the trial version though was over they really missed it. So it was nice to get the whole game and see all three of my kids playing it and laughing and just having a good time being together and playing the game. That's what i enjoy is watching them have fun together on this game versus just one child doing it alone for hours....

I would actually rate this game VERY GOOD. Bought this game for my friend's 9 year-old son. He loves it. Plays constantly - after only about a week, he is already asking his Dad for another version (Long Haul). I have not spent too much actually playing, but it looks to be a pretty well thought out game - truck has lights, horn, wipers, several views for lining up the trailer, etc. Graphics are good, and it's nice that the game uses 'actual' cities & highways - a little bit of a geography lesson while playing. One negative (although this is most likely done purposely by the designers so as not to discourage kids...??) - when watching him play, there did not seem to be any "penalty" for hitting other vehicles, and the 'damage meter' barely moved when he crashed into guard-rails, etc. Overall, lots of fun.

The game was a Xmas gift for my 27 yr old son. He loves it.Says it is terribly addictive and the challenges just keep you playing. Thrilled to find a PC game that has so much action, it keeps you thinking all the time. The game advances to many levels and you can continue your current level from a previous play time. Excellant purchase!

I bought the awesome game here on ebay last September and have been playing it ever since. The graphics are great, and the real life roads and incidents make it the best 18 Wheels of steel game out there!

I bought this game for my eleven year old son for Xmas.. He had played the trial verison on-line and had it a "must have" list.. My son likes playing the game very much.. I have not played it, so I am unable to fairly rate it.
