A faithful interpretation

I have been thoroughly enjoying this modern English version of Pilgrim's Progress. It is not so modern as to lose the flavor of the original, but it is definitely more understandable! I have been discussing each chapter with others who have the original version, and so far it has stayed true to the original meaning in every instance. I think this is an especially good version if you are reading it together as a family with children or teens (as I am). I highly recommend it!

I have known about Pilgrim's progress for a long time, but never read more that a few pages because of the King James English of the original text. The modern English version by Hazelbaker brings the book alive, and makes it as exciting to read as CS Lewis' works. I have been greatly enjoying this book, and would recommend it for reading for all faiths.
