The second volume in the 16 Biggest Praise & Worship Songs includes mostly up-tempo praise songs performed by veterans including Darlene Zschech, Reuben Morgan, Nancy Gordon & Jamie Harvill, and Paul Baloche & Ed Kerr. Presented in a zippy format that permits few pauses between songs and boasts a live sound (if not always live recordings), the compilation ebbs and flows, with many tracks beginning in a confessional or devotional mode, then ending up in a chorus of hallelujahs. The arrangements certainly aren't anything special, favoring keyboards, quickly strummed guitars, and blandly programmed synthesizers, but these are utilitarian songs and so don't need to be artistic masterpieces. As praise & worship, this is a successful compilation. ~ John Bush
