Big book study is vital to enriching your recovery experience. The 12 x 12 sheds deeper understanding of the steps and is a must-have accompanyment to the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous. Tough questions coming up in early sobriety and new AAs, sponsors, and mentors will find the answers here. The explanation of the "whys" of the AA traditions is also covered and gives rich history and understanding of why AA groups function as they do.

I love the entire book because the founder of the 12 steps explains each one in detail giving a better understanding of them. If you are even contemplating getting sober or just want a better understanding of what alcoholics do to stay sober in AA I highly recommend you pick up this book.

This is an excellent study-guide for group and individual study with frequent reading and referals as needed. Alcoholics Anonymous and other AA lierature is suggested for companion reading. Most all will benefit from reading The Little Red Book which evolved from a series of notes originally prepared as Twelve Step suggestions for A.A. beginners. Continued sobriety is contingent upon a daily reprieve as alcoholices practice the steps of AA. Any problems understanding this then consult your sponsor - if unavailable look-up Hindsfoot Foundation.
