| Movie Description When a man enters a hospital claiming to have journeyed back in time from the year 2025 to stop a killer virus from exterminating mankind, a beautiful psychologist decides he might be more than delusional. Terry Gilliam populates this labyrinthine, apocalyptic film with twisted characters and eerie revelations. The film was shot primarily in Philadelphia; Gilliam uses the more dilapidated area of the city to the film's apocalyptic advantage. The film is based on the 1962 French short film LA JETEE.

Twelve Monkeys is about a scientist who goes back in time to try and stop the release of a toxin in the air that caused the demolition of man kind. Overall this is one of my favorite Sci-Fi films of all time, it's innovative, creative, and tons of fun. I didn't like this movie the first time I saw this back in '96, but after watching it a couple years ago I had to buy it, and now I watch it routinely. Final Verdict: 5/5 Rent or Buy?: If you love Bruce Willis, you'll love this film. Although I'd recommend renting it first though, if you're not a huge sci-fi fan, just in case.
