101 Things to Do With a Cake Mix by Stephanie Ashcraft (2002, Paperback, Spiral)

If you like to cook but don't have the time to measure and fuss, this cookbook is for you. The main ingredient in all of the recipes is a standard cake mix. I have tried many of the different types of recipes, cookies, bars, cheesecake, etc. and they are all fabulous. Consider ordering one of these for yourself and give some as gifts too.

I had a recipe for a cake called "Dump Cake". It was an old one that my Mother had and I lost it. I found it in this cookbook under another name and was overjoyed. While reading the book I discovered other wonderful timesaving recipes and have received rave reviews from my family and friends. The fact that I found it on E-Bay was even better. I seem to find a lot of things I would otherwise not find if I didn't go on E-Bay.

I originally checked this book out of my library. There were so many recipes I liked that I thought I better buy it. Makes a good gift too.

I love this book. The recipes were simple. Also, you would most likely have all ingredients in your pantry. I also liked that the book was spiral bound, which makes it easy to read while you are preparing the recipes. It is a great find.

It's great for beginning bakers. Especially for those starting off on thier own in college. These are extreamly simple to make and not a lot involved. Its great, small and compact and has a clear covering on it so it won't get dirty as easy. I wished there were more chocolate and more complicated things though.

This book is a dream come true for someone like myself.
126 pages of easy cake recipes most of which taking only about six ingredients, some only take two! Great for a busy mother or someone who alwasy finds themselves signing up for the next bake sale or potluck.
Most of these recipes you look at and go "Duh, I could have thought of that." But usually we don't, so this is a great place to start creativity and trying new ideas.

This product would also be great for a young confectioner because of the simple ingredients and easy-to-read recipes.

I love this book. I'm always in favor of a short cut. There are a lot of recipes I want to try. I did notice a few of the recipes are very similar. But all in all it's a great book with a lot of ideas.

I would describe this book as mediocre. There are a few outstanding and unique recipes, but the remainder are mundane and can be found in many other cookbooks, especially community cookbooks by civic and religious organizations. I would have liked to see more originality, and "lighter" recipes for the weight-conscious set, and more low-sugar recipes for diabetics. I've decided to give my copy away as a Christmas gift.

This is the cutest book!!! I love the way it is wire bound and stays open when you lay it on the counter. I know I will enjoy taking a box of "plain old cakemix" and turning it into something extraordinary!! If you can't find a combination of ingredients you like for cakes in this cookbook, then something is definitely wrong!! There's a little bit of everything to choose from. This is an amazing book with something for everybody. I bought it because I wanted to know how to add ingredients to plain cake mixes to make them even better. This is the book that will teach you exactly how to do just that.

Has good, fast, delicious recipes in it..Small, not a whole cabinent space taker..easy to read..all ingredients are available & usually things we have all ready in the kitchen cupboards..

I seen one like it at my nieces home. Looking through hers I found that the recipes and ideas listed on the pages were easy to follow. I also like the variety of uses for a cake mix that are listed. For instance, making breads and cookies with a cake mix. The pages being in a spiral make it easy to flip through the pages and keep the book laying flat while you are making the bake item. I like mine so much I bought one for my wife's Aunt who loves to bake, but because of her Lupas has a difficult time expending a lot of energy to do baking. This book cuts her time in preparation in half.
