I bought this book as soon as I got engaged to try to keep wedding costs down. I was disappointed when I began reading it. There didn't seem to be a lot of useful advice for planning a "traditional" wedding. I was hoping to find some "insider" tips and I felt the book contained mostly common sense advice. For example, I was hoping to read something like "photographers offer bigger discounts if you book them on Wednesdays" and the book was more like "to save money on a photographer, have a friend take pictures."

This book made planning my backyard wedding so much easier. The book had tips on how to save money from the engagement announcement all the way through to the Honeymoon. Never cheap but always classy. The new revised copy of the book has web site addresses that will come in handy. A must for every bride.
