Yep.. there are 1001 recipes for cookies in this book AND a photo for each one! This is one of those books that will be handed on through the generations, butter and vanilla stains and all. Each recipe is accompanied by a photograph of the cookie. Just enough information is given to troubleshoot a possibly tricky recipe without the often confusing chattiness of some cookie books. I really enjoyed Gregg Gillespie's forward where he says that these recipes are essentially jumping off points for your own creativity. I am buying more copies to give as wedding gifts. I see this as one of those foundation cookbooks; the kind of book that belongs in every passionate cook's kitchen.
