Very clear production.
Sounds a bit like R.E.M., but that is not strange as both bands come from Athens,Georgia.Sweet worked with Stipe also and married his daughter.

This is my favorite Matthew Sweet CD. "Sick of Myself" is one of my all-time favorite songs. If this song doesn't get you going, then you don't have a pulse! The rest of the CD is full of great songs. Matthew Sweet is one of the best muscians of the last two decades, though he has been largely overlooked by the mass marketing of the music industry.

Great album
) Good, solid album. Lives up to it's name. Lots of poppy songs with a handful of hard rockin' songs thrown in. Sweet is a great songwriter.
