1,000 Motifs for Crafters by Alan D. Gear, Barry L. Freestone (2003, Paperback)

This book is fantastic and I highly recommend it to others. I have used it primarily for needlework and fiber arts, but I think it would be useful for so many different types of crafts. I return to it over and over as a source of inspiration. The first 15 pages of the books, where the techniques are shown, are illustrated in color which is definitely helpful. However, please note that in the majority of the book the designs are shown in black and white, so if you don't trust your own color sense, or you need designs in color, this might not be the right choice for you. Still it is well worth its cover price!
