Call of Duty (PC Games)

Great game , good graphics , minimum technical requirements (video card , processor...) , it's excellent for someone who desires an action game without having to upgrade the PC.

By far, one of the best military shooters out there! Great graphics, awesome audio, and very addicting gameplay. Nice multiplayer mode as well. Very realistic! Get the expansion pack too!

I think it is a great WW2 game and I would recommend if you like MOH AA then you would love this game!

I have Call of Duty-II that I purchased prior to the original. I actually like number one a bit more.

Call Of Duty is absolutely for players who prefer the WWII era of games. Seeing as I bought Call Of Duty2 before I bought and played the original , I
had alot more to compare this game to. As far as being equivalent to COD2 , it
definately is just as good. The best parts about any of the COD games is that
the games play smoothly and uninterupted by anything , not like other games
such as Metal Of Honor-Pacific Assault where the requirements are vastly different from one expansion pack to the other. It speaks volumes that COD commits itself to the players by allowing them to follow the series without having to upgrade a PC. Call Of Duty "IS" the best WWII series , as it also caused other game makers to produce a much more realistic looking HUD to screen atmosphere in 2007 releases to compete with their popularity. Not to mention that COD produces the same consistancy between the single player campaigns and the online play throughout the series as well. Keeping the WWII era theme , and building on that alone.

If you are new to COD , or even a veteran of COD , and enjoy them all , you
should buy a copy of (Conflict - Global Terror) , and don't let the price fool
you , it is a great game that fits right into any collection of war games like
COD , even surpassing some of its great features without falling short.

Very cool first player action game. Outstanding graphics with authentic WWII history to each level. One disappointment is that it requires two cd's for you to play dual using a router. Call of Duty 2 and the Expansion Pack United Offensive are also highly recommended.

I love this game . It's an older game that can be played on an older computer. It still is one of my favorites.

Call of Duty has got to be one of the greatest first person shooter titles out there. I used to have a copy of this game but sadly, lost it after lending it out to a friend. The single player campaigns in this game are exciting and will keep you glued to your chair. However at times they do feel a little scripted. For a game released back in 2003, it still looks good and the best part is, you don't need a super fast computer to play it. Multiplayer is one of the biggest fun factors of this game. With 6 multiplayer game modes including free for all, team death match, and capture the flag, online play never gets old and there are still a mega ton of servers out there that host this game. I highly recommend Call of Duty for anybody looking to play a great first person shooter. No pc gamer should be without it!

I already own one retail copy and COD is one of the few games I've played from start to finish. I think the greatest aspect of the game is your game character is not the "center of the universe" in each battle scene. If your gameplay is off there is a great chance your squad mates will still prevail. Its great to be part of the action but not necessarily the target of every shot fired by the Germans. That's refreshing because your character is not carrying the weight of WW2 on his shoulders. You're just one of the many "dog faces" doing your job everyday in a man made hell. Kick Adolph's can and get back home again. Sure COD is an old game but I bought a second copy so I could set up a lan server and play against my son who fancies himself to be some hot-shot gamer. Console gamer, yes. PC gamer, no way. Pops is going to kick his can just like he did Adolph's. Gimme a mouse and keyboard any day.

I am in my early 60's a 2 tour vietnam veteran and in my wildest dreams never thought I would ever be playing a game on my PC. Just so happened there was a trial on yahoo for Call of Duty 4. I played it and was blown away. First thing I thought was my God are there kids playing this. LOL. I purchased it at Gamebox and despite my white hair the young lady said she had to ask for my license. I purchsae Call of Duty and being a professiona with little time to tend to the boy in me, well. It is a lot of fun and takes my mind of things when I am stressed out.

I just purchased Medal of Honor Airborne and am waiting for a couple of Vietnam based games.

Quite honestly, things have come a long way since Atari Space Invaders and Breakout which I used to play around with my nephews and niece.

I only hope that kids get out in the air and play a little stickball or stoop ball. Everything in moderation, I guess. Good job!

i am currently stuck in a part but it'll be east to get out. i love the details in this game. u shoot some one in the head they go down like a head shot. i think they went a little over board on details which requires two installation discs. have found much of a problem, and im on vista. good game, recomended

I liked this game, very life like,fluid motion of line of sight. EAsy to install, its time line is with WWII, would recomed for your colition

I purchased this for my grandson..He needed this original version (he has latest) but to enter into a mode of play that I am not familiar with, he needed this version..He tells me it is outstanding...great graphics..easy to play and most of all hours of fun...Thanks Vandrews Family for supplying this to him at a very affordable price...Mimi (Maxlined)

What can I say? This game is wicked! Played it when it 1st came out and just decided to pick this put for myself (5 years later).

The game quality is great. It is so fun to play. The price was excellent and it works wonderfully on my gaming computer.

I bought this game because of the fun I had with the COD 4 demo that I downloaded. I had never played COD before and I saw the new free demo for their latest game. Once I played it I realized how much fun it was. So I wanted to get the previous games as well. The early games are based on WWII and they are a lot of fun roaming around in the game reminds me of movies like Enemy at the Gates. Multiplayer is great as well much better than Quake there is more strategy involved in moving and hiding to get that kill shot. Almost like a real sniper. Activision has a real winner of a series here.

Game has great graphics, is historically accurate and plays smoothly. Warning: Gets extremely hard half-way through.

I love the cinematic cutscenes and feel in COD1 and it even gets better in COD2. The graphics nowadays are kind of dated but its still a great game. Multiplayer is very fun.

I got this game during it's early years. I played it both single player and on a local network for several years until the Expansion United Offensive came out. I have not been disappointed with any of the CoD PC games I have purchased and and look forward to any new versions that may come on the market. I played medal of Honor games until these came out but have rarely fired those up since. CoD has better graphics, better maps and a more realistic feel. New maps are available online which have added continued enjoyment throughout the years. The prone feature is frustrating only because of the fact that it gets prohibited in critical parts of a fire fight.

This is my favorite Call of Duty game because of the awesome campaigns and levels. It's multiplayer is far better than any others too. You will not be dissappointed.

Multiplayer note: there is a thing called a mod (modification) that can change some gameplay. to avoid getting them do the following: Open Call of Duty Multiplayer, then go to Join a game, now press filter servers, next to mods click once or twice until next to mods it says NO
This will filter the servers that have mods will not be displayed.

No wonder this was the game of the year. The game runs smothly and the graphics are great. Shapes are more lifelike and not boxie. The action is very intense. I played on easier level the 1st time through. Very good challenges.

love everything about it, i would buy all games made for call of duty, i already have call of duty 2, heard they were great games and they were.
