T-Mobile Sidekick LX (T-Mobile)

Just got my Sidekick LX today, and here is the scoop:

The good: The T-Mobile Sidekick LX has the best display of any Sidekick yet. It is 3 inches wide and has a resolution of 400 x 240 pixels. The Sidekick LX is the first Sidekick yet that is MMS compatible... at least on the T-Mobile network. T-Mobile removed MMS from all the other sidekicks. It also offers Bluetooth, MySpace Mobile integration, and a much improved 1.3-megapixel camera with a very strong flash to provide the best picture quality of any sidekick yet.

The bad: The Sidekick LX's camera, although good at picture taking, doesn't record video and there's no integrated Wi-Fi. The phone's speaker is on the weaker side, and there's no A2DP Bluetooth support. The battery is also rather weak, much in the same way the Sidekick 3's battery was.

Sidekick LX: Talk: 6.8 hours (408 minutes)
Standby: 96 hours (4 days)

Sidekick 3: Talk: 4.5 hours (270 minutes)
Standby: 72 hours (3 days)

Overall, I would recommend this phone for anyone who likes to text or e-mail a lot. For anyone who loves recording or watching videos, this is not the phone for you.

the sidekick I received were in a pretty good condition. If you like 2 text or b in a chat room. This is the main thing 2 have a sidekick. Becuz you can chat almost all day and not only the when you receive a msg from somebody. On the top right corner would show who you are talkin 2 and it cool.you can have a phone next 2 you and talk and with a 2nd phone (sidekick) just 2 text and chat with it. Problem solve. Great easy way 4 me.

Not only did I receive my Sidekick LX in a timely mannaer it was in great condition and I was comfortable with the seller . This made me want 2 buy more things from ebay.

I like all sidekick so the lx was a logical next buy as i am not a t mobile customer and i just wanted the kick for aim and for the internet on a pre paid plan. This was a great deal as the new sidekicks are coming out with 3g which is pretty much useless to me as i have a Htc touch pro for internet browsing and navigation.

so many things about this phone to dislike..all the bells and whistles can't cover up the flaws, the biggest thing is the volume is so low you can't hear it WHEN you do get a call

bought it as a gift for my teen sister. If you text and love it, like her, you will find it irreplaceable. That is at least til the next one comes out.

This is a great smart phone. With its hd screen and full keybored. The phone is for t mobile but can be unlocked to work with any gsm sim card. This phone has the fastest aim and is a great phone. The HD screen just makes the colors pop out.

The sidekick lx is a great phone if anyone needs texting, internet, camera and a phone. It has a large enough keyboard that even my stubby fingers can type easily. It has a large screen that is a pleasure when I'm surfing the web. I recommend the phone and the provider. My seller was, eleclifestyle. I am very happy with my purchase. Their description on the phone was right on the money. In fact, the phone was in better shape than they described. Shipping was about 5 days, which isn't that bad. The packaging was a little excessive, but I would rather too much than too little. I give my seller high props and would recommend to any one.

sidekick lx is the best sidekick out so far it is better than the 08 but it will only get better have to go and get yourself one if you dont have one already and if you have a sidekick but not the lx you need to upgrade

very good phone the only thing is that if i flip the screen or if the power dies it will erase all of my new contacts

I decided to buy this phone for my cousin, we auctioned on it together, he likes it and uses although he was a lil dissappointed at first because it looked a little more used in person than it did online, but i told him thats what pictures do and a phone is a phone and it works. He dug the girly jewels off the back but he loves it now and is always on IM on it.

i love everything about it . at first the expresso brown looks black but its not just super dark brown. the screen is nice and big and keys are easy to type on . LOVE IT

After using a Blackberry for several years going back to a Sidekick makes you realize this is not a businessman's phone. Lack of essentials like an alarm and calculator in deference to more messaging and games is obvious. Also, the mailbox get filled up VERY quickly compared to a BB (even if you have a 4GB SD card, since mail does not use it.)

Then again, they keyboard is VERY fine, and thoughtful (placement of the "@" key, for example.) Battery life is so-so and it lacks voice dialing. This is a not a good unit if you spend a lot of time dialing from a car. It works fine with Bluetooth on my GPS, but without voicedial, I really need to pull over to dial from the contact book.

In all, this is a versatile device, and great for those of us who email and text more than talk..

i loved the phone, it was amazing. thanks for everything. once i cleaned out the trackball it worked perfectly fine. i love this phone!!:)

a bill came up & i didnt have the money 2 pay,but he/she gave me a week 2 pay & i paid & so now i sit & wait lol...

i like the large screen it has (400x208) it's about almost the size of an apple iphone screen. camera isn't bad, comes with a flash option. plays/records videos. has email, texting, real internet, my Faves capable, has an organizer, a QWERTY keyboard, plays music...and it also takes a regular set of headphones (unlike some phones it only works with the manufactuar headphones that come with the phone) also has instant messenging (AIM, MSN, and Yahoo) and a download catalogue. this phone is cool, i bought a sidekick slide last year, wasnt really impressed with it, so i got an LX. it is about 86% better then the Slide. its thinner and it has a wider screen. i also like the swivel screen...this phone is just awesome, and it is for any age range. also the sounds on here are amazing.
