This game is intense, and extremely detailed. It will steal a healthy chunk of my life. The realm is vast and the characters havemuch more ingaging personalities. I loved the original version. This one is just that much better. Never hve been an rpg type of guy, but morrowind sucked me in, and there is no going back.

Pretty much like it says in the title, this game started the RPG back on the right track with the graphics, charter interaction, story line and additions that will keep you busy for hours. The GOYTE is the way to go, that why you get the 2 expansion packs included,

quick shipment, no complications. Was in good shape and everything that the discription promised it to be.

This game is so expansive and so free. You can do what you like, when you like. You are able to do so many side-quests to improve your character before you have to touch the main quest! Amazing game!

best game (RPG) for the Xbox 360, it tough and long but its way worth the price. hundreds of hours played, got it because i didnt have xbox live at the time and wanted to kill time.

When one of my sons moved out and took his Playstation I sadly had to let go of my first Oblivion game. Then when my other son bought an X-Box 360 I decided to buy a copy for that system. My life is complete again. This time I might actually get to play Shivering Isle.

The reason this got a four instead of a five was because, while the game is extremely expansive and the expansion packs that come with it are awsome, the game seems to lack a certian...something. Its a great game, completely open ended, just like the other elderscrolls, though i prefure this one to the others, it seems a bit more player friendly. I enjoyed the complete customization abilty of the game. But for some reason i just couldnt bring myself to give it a five. The story line is compelling, if you do it, but..again the game on a whole, somehting seems to be missing! I just wish i could put my finger on it. If i do then i'll be happy to edit this review and tell everyone what is missing. Happy gaming everyone!

Great open ended non-linear RPG. Beautiful graphics, fun combat, and compelling storyline. A must have! Highly recommend!

Pace of progression is very slow.

As is the case with every new Bethesda Softworks game ever to be released, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion has pushed the envelope to Dive Rock and thrown it to the unforgiving bottom where all previous games (and Adoring Fans) have fallen. A completely open-ended gaming experience with dozens of side quests. One could easily play for weeks without even touching the Main Quest. With a wide variety of enemies ranging from rats to grizzly bears from grizzly bears to minotaurs and from minotaurs to Xivilai, not to mention bandits, marauders, necromancers and cultists this land is anything but safe. The towns, however, are pretty safe (for the most part) and each has it's own unique style and quests from Cyrodiil's matchless NPCs. This world is HUGE and even though I've logged over 200 hours into this magnificent game I still have more to see and the expansion packs are amazing and definetly worth my weight in soul gems. The game that keeps on giving is filled with Easter Eggs and secrets along with some references to the last game in the series, Morrowind. Also rumor has it that Maiq the Liar might even make an appearance. An overall amazing game with a solid storyline, unique characters, breathtaking detailed graphics and unparraleled gameplay. As an avid gamer I highly reccomend you make this purchase and "Close Shut the Jaws of Oblivion"!

This game, and specially this edition (GOTY) is a "must have" for any fan.

This game was ahead of it's time. This game raises the pole on adventuring gaming. Great customization, great gameplay, great game.

If you like the D&D style adventure games, you will really enjoy this game. I'm 20 hours in and just scratching the surface. The world is HUGE. There are a ton of quests to do also.

The Elder Scrolls series contains games that are among some of the greatest, and best thought out, games I have ever played. I love Bethesda, and I love the RPG direction they take with their games. However, the game is so jam-packed with thousands of side quests that it makes it nearly impossible to master. You will find yourself wasting all of your free time once you have become adicted to this franchise. But, as I said before, the game's storyline is amazing, the fighting, gameplay, and options are unlimited, and it is a nearly perfect game.

This is the greatest RPG out there and maybe will be for a very long time. And this is coming from a guy that spent alot of time doing every thing in the first version of this game. I logged for than a hundred hours on the first game and i garantee that i will spend more time on this game...

very good game literally over 200 hrs of gameplay. one of the games you pull out every now and then and play for hours. you can take a hardcore approach to the game or relax and play it slow totally in your control.

Again, this was a gift for my fiance. I have no clue what this game is about, it's not my type of game. My fiance loves it tho, he said that is similar to Fallout 3! He says that it is a great game! Sorry that I couldnt be more helpful.

A must have if you like real time RPG's. !!!!!! Quit reading and buy it already, you idiot. NOW!!!!!!!!! You could be having fun playing it, rather than wasting your time reading this. Still haven't gotten the point? What's wrong with you, did you eat a lot of lead paint chips, growing up. OHH! on a more serious note, only buy it for a gaming platform, the pc version SUCKS!! There is NO support to play the game with a controller/joystick. NONE at all! I hate playing games that require 50 keyboard commands a minute. 360 & ps3 versions a must have!
