Final Fantasy IV (Nintendo DS)

I practically played every Final Fantasy game but none was as special as this one. The storyline was one that captured most of my love for this game, its the characters, the music, and even the new and improved graphics that make this DS version of one of my favorite games, completely stunning.

Final Fantasy 4 was one of, if not my favorite game growing up. Of course you never want to see you childhood ruined by some crappy upgrade/remake and this DS upgrade does not disappoint in any way. The graphics, audio, and even the voice acting is perfect. I recommend this to any RPG fan with a Nintendo DS/

The old version of the game on famicon (japanese nintendo) has always left an impression on me. It was the first RPG that let you ride multiple vehicles and even some more. It also utilized the active battle system that will never leave you bored in a battle. The background music is amazing. This is also the first Final Fantasy that had many different character personalities.
This remade ds version just takes this game to another level. All 3-d with voice acting that brings the drama to life. I love the story and the music most of all. I have to say this is one of the better old fashioned RPGs out there.

If your an RPG fan, this game has everything for you, an awesome storyline, in-depth characters, and some of best music and graphics in as DS game. Final fantasy IV is an old classic, and a game that, though tougher then any of the other versions, will keep you playing for hours, and having the main theme stuck in your head for days. If you've never played this, your missing out, on one of the most legendary games, from one of the greatest RPG times. A must buy for any Final fantasy fan, or any fan looking for a good game, with a great story line, and lots of fun.

It was a classic back then and its even better now!!! The voice overs are great and the fighting system has been enhanced and is so much better! Worth every penny!!!

If you're the type of person who has a short temper, or little patience... DO NOT BUY THIS GAME! While FF4 is definitely not a bad game, it's insane difficulty will REALLY try your patience! So if you plan to buy FF4, be for-warned... Its VERY HARD!

This game was a walk through memory lane, and then some. I played the original back when it was FF2 for the SNES, and picked this up on a whim to see if it was as good as I remembered. Sure enough, it was! The DS graphics give this game a great look, and the music scores are a delight. The voice overs are fun, and add a nice element when they are used, but don't occur with the frequency that I would have liked. The other newer features (I think the augments are new) that weren't in the original are fun, but not in and of themselves worth buying the game over. If you like RPGs, however, and want to experience a real quality classic then this is a must-play.

Downsides:

I already knew the storyline from playing it back in '91 (or was it '92...), so the plot twists weren't total shockers for me. The nostalgia made it worth it though.

Played this as FF II when released on the SNES back in 91, This game is what started my love for Final Fantasy. Been playing the series ever since then. I recommend this game for any fan of FF, or an old-school rpg fan.
