It does a fantastic job cleaning those dog/cat hairs and I have now had three wore one out...also purchased two for my daughters but we all continue to use other cleaner(dyson)the negative is that the batteries don't have a long life period and the filters which you must change get to be expensive. I do not recomment buying one used as sellers tend to greatly exaggerate their condition. The battery in the one we purchased has a maximum life of about 20 minutes, a full hour under what the users guide claims it should run. Also, it definitely does not replace weekly vacuuming. I really like to use two as I can get the whole house done at once.
