Microsoft Zune Black (30 GB) MP3 Player

This device, simply put, is amazing. I'm sorry, but I have to compare it to iPod, because most people have expierence with it. Hopefully one day, I'll compare other MP3/4 players to the Zune.

The Good:
Wireless capability (sadly not that many people have one though...)
Radio (The built in digital read out is great to easily find out what your listening too)
No scroll wheel (That's right, I said it. Personally iHate the scroll wheel, with the zune you can scroll through thousands of songs, without moving your finger, simply brilliant)
Screen size (.5 of an inch doesnt seem like much, but boy it really is! plus this is verically measured, probly about 2 iPod screens)
Unscratchable surface (the screen seems to be covered with very thick plansic, will withstand a key stroke, along with double shot plasic, resistant to finger prints)
Sheer inovation (Microsoft pull off more inovation than that of the iPod. It simply looks much more stylish, feels great too!)
Firmware! Updatable, anything could be changed! Games, more wifi ideas, anything!

The Bad
Size Size SIZE! IF you have a big pocket, then you're good. It wieghts not too far from the iPod, but is almost twice the thickness, definately something that needs improved on. The Creaive ZVM actually heavier and is a little fatter, so it isnt that bad, but hte only downside. Let's see some Zune Micro's

Zune has become the number 2 selling product with ipod being 1st, this was achieved in just one week after launch, not bad at all microsoft!

Software isnt bad, but needs some working on. Just overall feeling of software feels a little... rushed. Overall media content is a little more rich than iTunes, Zune= quality, iPod= quantity

Ipods only advantages are size. Go down to BestBuy w/e and check size, if your fine with it, there is NO REASON TO GET AN IPOD!!

So far again, the best MP4 player I've ever tested!

Love it, love it, LOVE IT!!!! I know that doesn't help but this is my first mp3 and i is very user friendly. Roommate paid 3x amount for iPod. For shame!!!!

I love this player! It is easy to navigate and battery lasts me all day. I have used ipod and I like the Zune much better. The only drawbacks is that it initially took a long time to get all my music on the player. The sync function is so slow when filling the player up for the first time. The sound quality is great and I do intend to get another one for work.

The Bad: A little bit thick

The Ugly: Cannot Just plug and play. Requires Zune software to read it

This item is working and is charged. This zune will only charge from a wall plug in.
It has over 50 children cartoon movies loaded on it mostly disney.
This Zune does not come with a charger.(what the description read)

Well product is in ok shape, but doesn't work with wall charger or the $50.00 zune plug in for pc or car so i was a little miss lead by working and is charged.
just hoping that sum of the parts work so i can repair a zune that i already own.

The 30gb older Zune's are pretty close to a brick. but aside from that, the device itself and the the Zune software are exceptional.

It was a great purchase from a great seller. The Zune is awesome. It came preloaded with tons of great music. It was in great shape too. Great buy!

I consider this player better than the much-touted Ipod. Lots of memory, user friendly and something about its heft that's very comforting.

Loved the item I won. Was in excellent condition...brand new even though it was listed as refurbished. Would buy again from this seller. Very prompt in shipping out.

To have parts. I like the way they play my music. I would also like to put photo's on it. But the glitches bother me. It likes to change songs in the middle of the song.

You can actualy use a zune with linex. Ipod sowter whare for windows is now wrighten in North Keorea. Zune software is easy to install and use.

a zune is similar to a ipod it's pretty good ut i bought mine it was already broken so be carefull.....

The zune is basically like the Ipod Video with a larger screen. So that's a plus.
It has however, for it's first 1-2 years always been crippled by shoddy software, however with the Zune music management not in it's 3rd version, things have finally improved to be about the same quality as itunes.
Also, this version of the zune doesn't have a click-wheel. So it will feel weird at first, but the benefit is that you can use it in the cold while you're wearing gloves, and also when you're scrolling up/down or changing volume, instead of constantly moving your thumb, you can just lightly hold the button down. (The downside to this is you can't really control the speed you scroll at, so if you have a long list of artists it could take 7-10 seconds instead of 4-6 seconds)
Oh, another bright side: My ipod always seemed to break down every 4 months or so, my zune lasted nearly 2 years before needing a replacement. It's very durable!

easy to use , long life battery , shows albums pictures while playing the track , big screen so it is easy to see videos . It is very friendly item .
