beware of seller, xbox malfunctioned in 2 days and seller does not want to assist me at all, although seller store claims 100% guarantee. Nothing but lies, BEWARE!!

Some things I'd like to point out from my experiences from buying a refurbed xbox 360.(Core model btw)

Most refurbed systems on ebay have already been x clamp fixed, so if you plan on buying a refurbed xbox and you get the rrod, your could be screwed unless you have a warranty of some sort with the seller. I've had my xbox for about 6 months before it rrod. I bought a x clamp set to try to fix it and when i opened it up it had been already applied which disappointed me. I still did it anyway since i bought it and surprisingly it actually worked. It's been about 2 weeks now and still working :D.

Another point most refurbed systems on ebay have the MICROSOFT WARRANTY sticker removed so even if you do not have a warranty and are willing to pay microsoft extremely high repair price, they will not even accept it for repair and just send it right back to you.

My Xbox 360 came with usb ports(front usb) not positioned in the right way so i could not use them which was sort of annoying. Might not be the same case with other people but thought i'd add it in there. Also i fixed them when i applied the x clamp.

So if I were to do it over again I would definitely not spend more than $100. I'd suggest if you wanting something that'll last a long time, Save your money up and buy a arcade(or elite if you have the cash) and get the hard drive off ebay. Try to look for the newer model's called Jasper which are alot less likely to get a RROD. You can google how to find one because I'm not to sure about how to do it myself but from the time I post this review most 360's in stores should be the jasper models.

The XBox 360 s working like it suppose to, especially when the seller replaced the faulty power supply unit with a better one.

This particular version of the Xbox has HDMI hookups and will show better on a plasma screen. The gameplay on the 360 is a masterpiece and there is an incredible catalog of games available for this system from every genre. Online play is also avaiable as gamers search out for more challenging opponenets.

I had to sent it out for repair when I contact the person that sold me this item I told him that the item wasn't working correctly and he said it might it got damage on the delivery and I had to call microsoft to see that if I could got it repair and lucky they said yes. Bought two consoles, both failed. First one lasted 1.5 yrs with a 1 yr warranty second one (refurb) lasted 30 days with a seven day warranty. Poorly designed overheating junk IMHO.

The xbox 360 is a great system with the robust xbox live service and the amazing array of games. Its great for the hardcore and casual gamer but the downside to this is the hardware failures the dreded red ring of death. The xbox 360 has over 30% failure rate after year but they have made correction if you buy system from 2008 to 2009 your chances are greatly reduced. But over this console good enough to overshadow the flaws in the system.

Works great, no issues, good running. A rattle I hear when I picked it up, but could just be a piece of plastic or screw. Still runs fine.

the xbox 360 that i bought was a none working system with RROD thats so not cool of artdragoon i think he should be band from selling items on ebay

The controller was dirty, it got one red ring frequently, and the eject button for the disk drive is broken therefore my brand new disc is stuck inside.

There was supposed to be an Xbox Live headset included with the bundle. However, this was not included. Also, the Call of Duty: World at War disc that was included was unreadable. I checked out the company's site, and it says they're based in Latvia. Very sketchy.

I have bought 3 Xbox 360's from E-bay. The first one was fine. Have never had a problem.

The other 2 have been a different story. The sellers of these items both offered a warranty of at least 30 days. They both got the "red ring of death" within a week. Sent them both back, on my dime (had to pay for shipping back). they paid to send it back to me.

They both got the RROD again. By the time the first one got it again it was out of warranty and the seller did not respond to my e-mail. So I fixed it my self.

The 3rd one also got the RROD again, it was still under warranty but we decided to take a chance and fix it our selves. You can find instructions on you tube on fixing these but don't use the towel method. We took it apart and fixed the heat sinks.

Luckly we got it to work and so far so good.

So if you feel that you can take it apart and fix it give it a try. But if you don't feel you can do it I would buy one that is still warrantied by Microsoft.

I love the xbox 360. I purchased a PS@, and it quit working in 5 months. Sony said too bad, buy another. I told them I will never buy another Sony product, if you won't at least stand behind it for 1 year, and I won't. My xbox 360 developed the dreaded red ring of death, at about 1 and a half years old. I had to pay the shipping one way, Microsoft completely refurbished it even though it was over a year old, for free. They paid the shipping back to me also, and gave the new replacement a new 3 year warrenty. Talk about standing behind your product! I am sold on the 360, and will only buy microsoft game consoles now. The refurbished one is now about 2 years old, and works fine. They must have solved the problem, at their own expense.
