Callaway Steelhead III Fairway Wood Golf Club

This is a very forgiving and powerful fairway wood. With clubs growing in size by the season, it's nice to see some manufacturers paying attention to performance without creating club heads the size of an oil can.

I have hit both the steel and graphite versions of this club (3,5 and 7)and all felt lighter then they actually are. VFT (variable face thickness) technology really works. Off center shots seem to find a straight path, on center shots just fly. The dense, compact head lends toward workability and gets through the rough nicely.

I have the 4+ wood, and after many new clubs hitting the market, this si still the easiest to hit, and most consistent in my bag. I will play this strong 4 wood for many years to come. Callaway really knew what they were doing with this club.

I really like my Callaway Steelhead III 3 wood. This completed a full set,that is why I bought it. I have played with these clubs for several years. I feel lucky that the price was so low.

I decided to purchase the Steelhead III because I hit a friend's club and got great results. I first got the 5 wood regular shaft and liked it so much I decided to get the 3 wood. The first outing I used the 3 on the 18th hole after a poor drive, I hit a 220 yd shot straight as an arrow into the wind, pin high. Unfortunately I missed the 12 foot putt. I enjoy using these clubs because I believe the compact size allows for solid hits off the tee or fairways. Presently, I'm pursuing the 7 wood.

The Callaway Steelhead 3 golf club was in great condition for a used club. I could barely tell that it had ever been hit. I decided to buy it based on the description and the pictures in the Ebay ad. The club looked even better in person when I received it. After using the club a couple of times, I am completely satisfied with the purchase.

This club is easy to hit off the deck. It plays better than most of the new clubs now on the market. I'm considering bidding for a 5 wood in the same model.

The Callaway golf club was received better than described, almost new! I've purchased many clubs on eBay and some item descriptions are near correct, this listing was perfect.

If you want to hit it high and land it soft, these fairway woods are great. Even though these clubs have been on the market for awhile now, there aren't that many new models that can compare. Make sure you get the right flex in your shaft. Callaway tends to run a bit on the soft side. If you tend to hit your shots really high, these may balloon on you, but for the average player these flight high so you can land softly. Best suited for wind conditions conducive to high flight shots.

Steelhead lll clubs are very forgiving. The price was within my budget. The club was used, but looked and hit like new. I would recommend callaway steelhead lll clubs to anyone who wants to hit the ball long and straight.

This is a solid, low profile (smaller head) club. It gives you control and versatility without sacrificing distance. The shaft is the key here. I have the pro series RCH firm shaft. It is a pretty tight shaft and is really for lower handicaps. Do not expect to maneuver the ball a great deal with this shaft but it is very good at straight or slight fades. I believe an upgraded shaft would be better in this club. It lacks some feel and perhaps a ProForce UST or Aldila Green would be a good choice. Overall, a fine clubhead and worthy of purchase.

I have a Callaway Steelhead 5-wood and really like it so I decided to purchase the 7-wood to go with it. I like this club because it can get the distance that I need and is easier to make good contact than using a long iron. I would reccomend this club for anyone who has difficulty in hitting the longer irons.

This golf club has a great weight and good feeling swing. It's an older model, but in good shape without dings or scrapes. It came as pictured and described, and I am very happy to have it in my bag.

This particular golf club was needed to match others in the bag. These clubs seem to give the trajectory that is desired so it was a matter of getting a five wood to fill a distance gap. Ultimately in the end adding the four wood was the choice instead. The club was exactly as described and has fit in nicely with the other clubs.

Unfortunately I haven't got my golf club at all(I have been waiting for it about six weeks).
Luckily I paid my bill with Pay Pal and I got my money back.
In future, I have to make sure that the seller can send the items to Europe.

At first, eh, I felt that this was just another 3w. I soon learned that this club is very deceiving...A Forceful Flight with a Solid "Tink" sound at impact. Yes, the head is on the smaller mid-sized caliber, however, all such thoughts evaporate at that moment when you know ya tagged one...it felt good, and it looks even better as you watch the flight of the ball. Par 5s is a comfort with this in the bag...Fairway shots is its best attributes. A mild color of a metalic blue-gray keeps the sunlight reflection at bay. Callaway did this model right, and I assure you, that this is a combo that is suited for each other.

The club is one of Callaway's best because it follows traditional lines and
set-up. Being an older player who is accustomed to these specs, this club
fits me perfectly. I have been very pleased with the quality of the product
and its playability.

I am not sure why but I hit this club 220 yards plus and straight! It is a regular shaft which I normally hit a stiff shaft. Extremely happy with the club. I decided to by it becuase I needed a 5 wood. The only thing I wish it had a head cover.

The Ladies' Callaway Steelhead III fairway woods are among the best even though they are not the most current product. They have a great feel and swing weight for both the beginner golfer and the low handicapper.

The price was fair... as compared to Callaway's Pre-owned club website.
