The Princess Bride by William Goldman (1990, Paperback, Reissue)

I really enjoyed reading this book. It has so much action and adventure that my two younger brothers (9 and 11 years old) would beg me to read some of it everytime I came home from work. I love it because it very comical and sweet.

The Princess Bride by William Goldman is a wonderful book. It is very funny and well written. If you have seen the movie and like it, the book is even better (of course). It is a relatively easy read, and very engaging.

This book is a classic. Humor, adventure, humor, romance, and of course humor. This book will entertain boys, girls, women and men. It has something for everyone.

If you can, see if you can get one of the older editions that has the "author's comments" in red print.

We bought it for our daughter's School's Summer reading list for English. From cover to back, the book was in very good condition. It served it's purpose twice; My daughter loaned it to her best friend, who had the same English assignment.

This is my favorite book! I grew up with the movie never realizing that there was even such a thing as the novel, The Princess Bride. Once I read it however, I soon became a walking advirtisement for the novel, telling everyone to read it. I still love the movie but I have expanded to loving the book as well. If you've watched the movie I'm sure you'll love the book because it expands the story and you find out things about the characters' path that you never even dreamed of. I highly recommend this book.

Play by play of the movie. The author injects some hilarious comments throughout the book that you don't see in the movie. Very few differences in the book from the movie but with more details in the book.

It was very quick and the condition of the book was great. The expectations I had were met fully and the description provided was very accurate.

If you've grown up watching the movie over and over like I did and then read this book you are in for a treat. Obviously there are written parts that didn't make it into the movie but for a lot of those parts you find yourself asking why because they fit so well and would have enhanced the movie further.
Lots of depth into the characters in this book. The tiniest bit of inconsistency in the story and lots of typos but a very interesting book.

This book has spawned a classic movie. I wanted the book to compare to the movie. I am the only one I know who has the book .

Great book! I really enjoyed it. I'm a huge fan of the movie, and this book was just as good. Fun to read more behind the scene goings on. I really recommend this to any fan of The Princess Bride.

This book is an instant classic. When I first read it, I admit I was fooled by the author's foolish antics. That's probably what makes this book so much more than its competitors. The entire novel is kind of like one big practical joke, which causes it to create instant laughs. My advice is to read this book, especially if you loved the movie, because it will be worth it. You'll get a kick out of all the funny details that are completely fabricated.

This is an excellent book! If you love the movie, read the book. It's got more humor and more character depth. It's a wonderful narrative and a fast read. Goldman's added insights are great too. I only wish I could get my hands on the original.

I have the movie and really like it, so I thought I'd get the book. It is a good story line. I especially like the sword fighting.
